Cultivating a Mindset of Yes
Jan 30, 2024 Season 1 Episode 54

In this week's episode, we challenge the habitual "no" in leadership and explore why saying "yes" can  make you a more thought-full leader, encourage creativity, and create empowerment within your team.

1. More Thought-full: Explore the practice of saying "yes" and asking thoughtful questions. This approach doesn't commit you to ideas but enhances your thoughtfulness by considering potential success, suitable locations, and logical reasons.

2. Encourages Creativity: Challenge the default reaction of saying "no" to open up opportunities for connection and creativity. Capture ideas on a "parking lot flip chart" even if they won't be executed immediately, as they can serve as sparks during challenging times.

3. Creates Empowerment: Embrace the "yes and" rule from improv, fostering interesting and collaborative scenes. Presence, active listening, and building on ideas become crucial.

Take the challenge this week and replace that urge to say "no" with a powerful "yes" in various aspects of your life.
