A Harvard-trained Lawyer, Erika Royal spent 22 years in employment law, before making her way to the coaching world after she realized she was "white-knuckling" her way through life. In 2017, she hired her own life coach, which led to the life-altering decision to not only become one, but also to serve as the Chief Executive Officer of The Life Coach School, a multi-million dollar life coaching and life coach training and certification organization. She held this role from 2020-2023, managing the LCS team and operations and serving as the head of its Equity Team. In her “free” time, Erika is a wife, and mother to two teen girls, a teen son, and a puppy named Waffle.
Erika holds degrees from Florida State University (BA-English Literature) and Harvard Law School (JD). Committed to her personal and professional development, Erika has obtained a Master Coach certification from the Life Coach School and an Executive Coach certification from the Center for Executive Coaching. She is a member of CHIEF and a member of the Young Presidents Organization. She currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for LifeNet4Families, a nonprofit organization in Broward County, Florida, whose mission is to provide a gateway to stability for people experiencing hunger, homelessness and/or poverty.
Erika is a Founding Member of the Institute for Equity-Centered Coaching Exchange.
